ExperienceI have taught undergraduate and graduate courses in Statistics (including SPSS), Advanced Statistics (including Structural Equation Modeling), Research Methods, Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology and Psychology 101.
In addition to working in the classroom, I have completed a certificate program in teaching, and have developed a true appreciation for working with students of diverse backgrounds, and the skills to do so effectively. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy working with students individually and in small groups on assignments, papers and their studies.
I believe that good study and writing skills are critical for both academic and personal success. I also believe that success in school can be deeply personal and that not everyone shares the same approach or struggles. Over the course of my own personal career in academia, I have had the time to critically reflect on my own process, devising a variety of strategies to facilitate and support my own academic development and success. Offering these strategies and others to my students has given me even more insight and has been incredibly rewarding. I look forward to the possibility to work with you!
HobbiesIn my free time I enjoy being outdoors, listening to Jazz, trying to cook new things and exploring New England. I moved here from Southern California for my graduate work and am still finding new things to love about the east coast (although I do miss the warmer weather occasionally!)
